Toyota is recalling more than 100,000 Land Cruiser SUVs in the US over a potential fuel leak that could increase the risk of fire. The recall covers 105,794 examples of the 2024-2027 Land Cruiser, making it one of the larger campaigns for the current J250-generation SUV.
The issue involves a retaining clip connecting the fuel tubes between the tank and engine. If the clip becomes lifted, the connection could allow fuel to leak from the resin tube attached to the fuel tank.

Toyota says it has received 23 field reports and 64 warranty claims related to the issue. The company also says it cannot determine exactly how many vehicles may contain the defect.
Fortunately, the fix itself is relatively straightforward. Dealers will inspect the fuel-tube connection and install an additional clamp. If required, the resin fuel tube will also be replaced.
Toyota expects owner notification letters to be sent by December 13. As with other safety recalls, the necessary repairs will be completed free of charge.
