In 2022, McLaren Special Operations introduced the SLR HDK, a limited edition of the iconic SLR McLaren inspired by the 722 GT race car. Only 12 cars were planned at the time, one of which resides in Manny Khoshbin’s garage.
Images of yet another SLR HDK have surfaced online. This one is even more special, as it’s the first McLaren SLR Roadster HDK.
As is the case with most MSO creations, the SLR Roadster HDK has a unique spec. It appears to be a light shade of green with a metallic finish, with a white stripe running along the centre of the car. There are carbon fibre vents on the bonnet, a carbon splitter and mirrors. The iconic side gills are also made from carbon fibre.
The “McLaren Special Operations” script can be seen on the front fenders, while “SLR HDK” is mentioned on the rocker panels. Other details include white brake calipers and what appears to be an instrument binnacle painted in the exterior colour.
The world’s first SLR Roadster HDK is still at the MSO facility in London. It is expected to be revealed to the public sometime this year.
