Toddler, 2, in critical condition after being found unconscious in Long Island family pool


A toddler is in critical condition after she was discovered unresponsive in her family’s pool on Long Island, according to authorities.

The 2-year-old girl was discovered unresponsive in a pool at her home on Mill Drive in Mastic Beach around 4:50 p.m. on Monday, according to the Suffolk County Police Department.

The child was removed from the pool, and a family member performed CPR on her until emergency responders arrived on the scene, cops said.

The tot was taken to NYU Langone Hospital – Suffolk in Patchogue in critical condition and later transported to Stony Brook University Hospital, authorities added.

The incident remains under investigation.

No arrests have been made.
