The Porsche Mission S has gone from the unveiling stage to stepping out on the streets. The new mid-engine supercar has made its first public appearance on New York City roads, giving enthusiasts their first chance to see the concept in the real world.
Spotted in NYC, the Porsche Mission S looks particularly striking in this colour. The wheels suit its low-slung shape perfectly, while its wide stance gives the car plenty of presence. Unsurprisingly, people around quickly started noticing and admiring it.

The recently revealed concept sits on an all-new mid-engine platform positioned above the 911 and is being seen as a potential spiritual successor to the legendary 918 Spyder.
Its design mixes modern Porsche thinking with some great historical references. The low nose and overall shape recall the 550 Spyder, while the engine cover features a prominent top-mounted fan inspired by the iconic Porsche 917.
There is plenty of intrigue under the skin, too. Porsche CEO Dr. Michael Leiters has said the platform could accommodate both combustion and hybrid powertrains, along with either a traditional manual or PDK-style transmission.
