Next-gen BMW M5 to be unveiled on June 26

BMW will showcase the all-new M5 on June 26, 2024. The upcoming G90 generation M5 will be available in sedan and station wagon/estate body styles.

Last month, BMW released a teaser showing a glimpse of the new M5. For starters, the car will not get the oversized kidney grille that they put on the M3 and M4. Instead, the new M5 will get a more conventional grille with horizontal slats and silver surrounds, slim LED headlamps and taillights, sharp-looking bumpers and quad exhausts.

Powering the new M5 will be S68 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8 plug-in hybrid from the XM. The internal combustion engine produces 577 hp and 553 lb-ft of torque, while the electric motor has a peak output of 194 hp and 207 lb-ft. The combined output is said to be pegged at 718 hp.
