Looks like the gang is back together! In this exclusive clip from this Sunday’s all-new episode of Marshals entitled “In Low Places,” Kayce Dutton (Luke Grimes) enlists Garrett (Riley Green) to help their old SEAL team leader Pete “Cal” Calvin (Logan Marshall-Green) and the Marshals rescue the kidnapped Andrea Cruz (Ash Santos) from Randall Clegg’s (Michael Cudlitz) compound. This sneak peek begins in a barn with Kayce and Riley coming down the stairs, dressed in bulletproof vests emblazoned with the U.S MARSHAL insignia.
“I thought I killed this idea,” says Cal with annoyance. “You saw the message from Clegg. It’s not a negotiation. We need to find a way inside,” replies Kayce quickly. “And we’re working with a massive blind spot in all this. There’s no Intel around the entire back side of the property. No idea if he’s got guns buried around the full perimeter.” Cal quickly interrupts him: “Or he’s got all this firepower in front. So, he left a weak spot around back to exploit.”
Garrett, who has been quiet, suddenly speaks up: “I smell rabbit holes.” Cal cocks his head and listens. Garret explains: “See, this guy Clegg does rock blasting for mines. It’s a good chance he dug some tunnels on his own property in case of a bug out.” It’s clear that Garrett’s old instincts from his military days are intact as he continues: “We find one of those. We warp zone straight to his living room.”
Kayce immediately backs Garrett’s theory. “Team three pulled the same thing in Fallujah.” Ever the realist, Cal is unsure of the connection, saying: “Remind you, we are not in Fallujah.” Undeterred, Kayce continues. “Garrett and I can do some recon. Get a look. Set up a surveillance camera.”
“You’re not stepping foot in your target. We’ll keep our distance,” says Cal quickly, looking to Garrett for confirmation, who responds: “I’m good at being a ghost, hey Cal?” Knowing he’s being overruled, Cal can only look at the two men heatedly.
“That’s all we need, another bad war story,” says Cal sadly. Quickly, he collects himself. “If there’s any hint of contact, you bail,” commands Cal. Kayce and Garrett look at each other to confirm and then fist bump in agreement. As they walk off towards danger, Cal can only watch.
