Ferrari Luce sales pitch to an avid car collector goes wrong; emails uploaded

It’s been a while since the Ferrari Luce broke cover. While it didn’t get the kind of reception that one would expect for a Ferrari, the Italian brand still needs to sell the EV to potential customers. And that’s what it is doing… well, at least, trying to.

A Ferrari Luce sales pitch to an avid supercar collector didn’t go as expected. One of the sales consultants reached out to Jeffrey, who goes by the name of “speedy_jeff” on Instagram. In the email, he writes about the Luce and how the company is reaching out to a select group of Ferrari owners and EV enthusiasts who would consider adding the Luce to their collection or garage.

To this, Jeffrey replies that he’s embarrassed for Ferrari sales consultants worldwide who are trying to “sell” the Luce. “It’s an absolute joke on so many levels that it’s literally unfathomable a group of Italians – arguably some of the best automotive designers in the world – could approve something so completely un-Italian.”

He continues, “It’s embarrassing as a design, and even more so when it costs over $700,000 by the time you factor in taxes and registration. For that kind of money, you could buy the very best EVs from Tesla, Rivian, and Lucid.”

On one hand, this is the kind of reply Ferrari sales consultants are receiving from potential Luce customers. On the other hand, reports are stating that demand for Ferrari’s first electric vehicle is already building strongly in Thailand, well ahead of its late 2027 deliveries.
