Cadillac has introduced a special version of the Escalade in Japan. Called the Noir Edition, it is based on the Escalade Sport and gets a mix of matte and gloss-black finishes. General Motors Japan began accepting orders on October 29, with production limited to just 20 units.
Rather than giving the entire SUV a uniform matte finish, Cadillac has used XPEL’s Stealth paint-protection film on selected sections, including the bonnet, body sides and rear liftgate. The grille surround and lower body panels retain their gloss finish, while the mirrors, roof and window frames remain untouched.

The SUV also gets 22-inch, 18-spoke alloy wheels finished in After Midnight black. Inside, the Jet Black cabin features a special passenger-side badge and Noir Edition floor mats with silver piping. The 55-inch curved LED display remains unchanged.
Power comes from the familiar 6.2-litre V8, paired with a 10-speed automatic gearbox and selectable four-wheel drive.

Priced at ¥21 million (approximately $133,000), the special edition is available exclusively through Cadillac dealerships in Japan.
Cadillac recently introduced two other special editions of the Escalade. One is called the Escalade-V 125th Anniversary Collector Series, priced at a hefty $239,000 and limited to 252 examples. The other one is Escalade V Checo Perez Edition dedicated to Cadillac’s F1 team driver Sergio “Checo” Perez. Only 11 units will come to life, matching the Mexican driver’s racing number.
