The Panthers lost to the Rams, and the Packers lost to the Bears. Carolina actually hosted their game and had the Rams on the ropes before they lost. The Packers were on the road and fell apart in the second half.
This season, the Panthers have struggled to a 3-3 record. They lost to the Bears at home on Opening Day, allowing 49 points to Chicago. They bounced back with authority the next week, battling the Falcons and winning 34-3. They lost to the Browns 21-18 in Week 3. In Week 4, they beat the Lions 32-26. Week 5 was a bye week, and since they’ve gone 1-1, beating the Eagles and losing embarrassingly bad to the Buccaneers last week 43-13 at home.
The Packers have played one more game than the Panthers and come into the game with a 4-3 record. They had a nice lead over the Vikings in Week 1, but they fell apart again in the second half. They beat the Jets in overtime in Week 2. Week 3 saw them drop the game to the Falcons, and they were 1-2. Since then, they’ve beaten the Buccaneers, Bears, and Cowboys. Last week, they went on the road and played their style of game, but lost to the Lions.
