Porsche is going seriously upmarket with its bespoke Sonderwunsch division. According to Alexander Fabig, Vice President of Individualization and Classic, the company is currently working on 15 one-off projects, with prices ranging from just under $2 million to roughly $15 million.
That is a huge step beyond the regular Porsche models, but the German automaker apparently sees even more room between its limited-edition cars and completely unique builds.

Fabig says Porsche is considering so-called “few-off” models. These would be produced in very small numbers, offering customers something considerably more exclusive than a conventional special edition without going all the way to a single bespoke example.
And Porsche could be looking for more ways to make its most desirable cars even more valuable. Reports suggest the company may be developing a new range-topping 911 that could carry a price tag of around $400,000.

The idea makes sense from a business perspective. Porsche has faced a difficult period, with profits under pressure, so ultra-exclusive models could provide a useful boost to margins.
