Subaru has introduced two new special edition models celebrating the anniversaries of the WRX and BRZ in the United States. The 2027 WRX GD25 and BRZ ZC15 come with cosmetic upgrades and manual transmissions. Production will be limited to just 350 units and 300 units, respectively.
2027 Subaru WRX GD25
The WRX GD25 honors the first edition of the WRX to arrive in the U.S. in 2002, which utilized a chassis codenamed “GD.” It is available exclusively in the iconic World Rally Blue color scheme and 19-inch gold wheels paired with matching brake calipers. The car is fitted with a carbon fibre swan-neck rear wing similar to Travis Pastrana’s WRX ARA25L rally car and re-tuned suspension with stiffer springs and a flexible strut tower brace.
Powering the WRX GD25 is a 271 hp 2.4-liter turbocharged boxer engine paired with a 6-speed manual gearbox and an STI short shifter.
2027 Subaru BRZ ZC15
The BRZ ZC15 features a Ceramic White exterior, a color that was exclusively offered on the Gen-1 BRZ. It is paired with matte bronze wheels, gold Brembo calipers and unique bronze decals.
The special edition BRZ gets a black decklid spoiler at the rear and a flexible V-bar under the hood. It uses a 228 hp 2.4-liter boxer engine paired with a 6-speed manual transmission.
Reservations are set to begin this year with deliveries in winter and summer 2027.
