The updated version of the Porsche 911 Turbo is currently being put through its paces at the Nurburgring. This prototype had little to no camouflage.
The 2026 Porsche 911 Turbo 992.2 will feature subtle exterior changes. The front bumper has been redesigned and now features rectangular vents with flaps, while the retractable air deflector on the underside will be carried over.
Porsche has made a few design tweaks to the rear as well. There’s a new rear bumper with a black insert, new quad exhaust tips, and reprofiled LED taillights connected by an LED light bar. The new 911 Turbo also gets an active rear spoiler like its predecessor.
Rumors suggest that the upcoming 911 Turbo 992.2 will feature Porsche’s T-Hybrid system. The Turbo will be rear-wheel drive with 640 hp, while the Turbo S will have all-wheel drive and around 710 hp. Currently, the 911 Turbo uses a 3.7-liter twin-turbo flat-6 engine that produces 572 hp and 640 hp in Turbo and Turbo S trims, respectively.
