2025 BMW M5 design sketch slips into latest official teaser

BMW has released a new teaser of the upcoming M5. The 2025 BMW M5 G90 will be available in both sedan and station wagon body styles. The latest teaser provides a short glimpse of the car’s design.

The new BMW M5 looks muscular, as it should. It features a redesigned kidney grille with a silver frame. It doesn’t look out of proportion like the M3/M4 and blends into the headlamp clusters, forming a single visual unit. The headlamp itself looks slimmer and has LED DRLs similar to the latest-gen 5 Series. We think the M5 looks great in this metallic bronze colour, with the M mirrors painted in silver.

The new BMW M5 is said to be longer and wider than the outgoing model. The car’s wheelbase has also been extended. Reports suggest that it now weighs 2435 kg, which is quite a lot for a performance car.

Powering the new M5 will be S68 4.4-liter twin-turbo V8 plug-in hybrid from the XM. The internal combustion engine produces 577 hp and 553 lb-ft of torque, while the electric motor has a peak output of 194 hp and 207 lb-ft. The combined output is said to be pegged at 718 hp.
