When it comes to building the ultimate track toy, Pagani knows exactly what collectors want. The Pagani Huayra R is the most extreme version of the brand’s road-going supercar. Only 30 examples of the track-only R variant were built, and one of the first cars will be coming up for sale next year.
RM Sotheby’s will offer the Huayra R chassis no. 5 at the Paris auction on February 4-5, 2025. It is expected to fetch between $2.9 million and $3.3 million.
This particular Huayra R has a bespoke spec featuring an exposed carbon exterior with Bronzo Chiaro, Bianco Fabriano, and Rosso Dubai stripes, Bronzo Chiaro forged aluminium 19-inch wheels, and Olympus bronze brake callipers. The interior features matte carbon fibre and dark grey Alcantara upholstery, anodised matte black aluminium parts, and Huayra R logos on the headrests. The customizations alone are said to be worth around $327,000.
The Pagani Huayra R is powered by a naturally aspirated V12-R engine, as opposed to the twin-turbo unit that powers the standard Huayra. The new motor revs to 9000 rpm and produces 850 hp and 553 lb-ft of torque. The car weighs just 1050 kg.
