They’re like two peas in a pod.
Lewis Pullman and fellow nepo baby Maya Hawke bonded over their famous parents while filming their new movie, “Wishful Thinking.”
“We had a lot more stuff to bond with, initially, and then, of course, we did end up talking about that,” the “Salem’s Lot” actor exclusively told Page Six Thursday at the world premiere of their new science fiction romantic comedy at SXSW 2026 in Austin, Texas.
Lewis is the son of “Casper” star Bill Pullman and dancer Tamara Hurwitz, while Maya’s parents are legendary actors Uma Thurman and Ethan Hawke.
“But yeah, we’re so similar in so many different ways,” he added.
Despite growing up with famous parents, Lewis noted that he and Maya “had very different experiences.”
“You know, all parents are different, no matter what they do,” the “Thunderbolts*” actor told us.
Additionally, they bonded over how they “view the industry” and being musicians.
In 2024, the “Stranger Things” actress publicly embraced being a nepo baby, saying she believes her parents’ ties influenced her casting in Quentin Tarantino’s 2019 film “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.”
“I’ve been wildly made fun of for this clip when I said, on the red carpet, that I auditioned,” Maya told The Times of London at the time.
“I never meant to imply that I didn’t get the part for nepotistic reasons — I think I totally did,” she added.
When asked if Maya believes she deserves the opportunities she’s had, the “Do Revenge” star said, “‘Deserves’ is a complicated word … there are so many people who deserve to have this kind of life who don’t, but I think I’m comfortable with not deserving it and doing it anyway.
“And I know that my not doing it wouldn’t help anyone. I saw two paths when I was first starting, and one of them was: change your name, get a nose job and go to open casting roles,” she added.
As for Lewis, he previously told the Hollywood Reporter that he knows he is “undeniably fortunate” due to his parents’ fame.
“What’s the hardest to get is the opportunity to get experience and to find your comfortability within a very bizarre circumstance,” he told the outlet.
“And it took me so long to get comfortable in front of a camera and to forget that it’s there, and I wouldn’t have gotten that if I didn’t get all these chances to do so.”
Lewis is also dating a nepo baby — Kaia Gerber, daughter of supermodel Cindy Crawford and Casamigos tequila co-founder Rande Gerber.
Meanwhile, Maya married musician Christian Lee Hutson on Valentine’s Day.
