Mercedes-AMG has put out a teaser of what appears to be a new 4-door sedan. While the carmaker hasn’t revealed any details, we believe it could be the AMG GT 4-Door EV.
The official teaser shows a silhouette of a classic coupe with a long hood, a swooping roofline, and wide rear fenders. The nose section is a lot lower than most Mercedes cars. It also has an integrated lip spoiler at the back.
The AMG GT 4-Door EV will be the first pure electric model developed by Mercedes-AMG. It will be based on the AMG Electric Architecture (AMG.EA) and will compete with the Porsche Taycan.
The new Mercedes-AMG EV will use axial-flux motors powered by a high-performance battery. It is estimated to have around 1000 hp, which will be put down to the road via all four wheels.
Mercedes-AMG is also working on an electric high-performance SUV.
