LaFerrari successor (F250) rendered based on spy images

The LaFerrari successor, codenamed F250, has been undergoing road trials for quite some time now. More recently, a prototype was spotted with pre-production bodywork that revealed some of the design details of Ferrari’s upcoming flagship hypercar. Based on the latest spy images, @uness_design has created a couple of digital renderings.

The design of the front fascia has been clearly borrowed from the 12Cilindri. However, we don’t think it will be that similar. We believe the 365 GTB/4-inspired front end will be specific to the 12Cilindri. Apart from that, the remaining details, such as the S-duct and nostrils on the front bumper have been executed well.

The overall design of the LaFerrari successor seems to have been inspired by the Ferrari F40. It has a flat nose section and front fenders that are squared off on one side. The door panels have a massive undercut that helps channel air into the engine bay.

Moving to the rear, the LaFerrari successor gets a retractable spoiler with large end plates, sleek LED taillights and a centrally-mounted exhaust. The vented engine cover also reminds us of the perspex cover on the F40.

Ferrari’s new flagship hypercar is expected to use a hybrid powertrain. However, it won’t be a V12. Instead, the F250 is likely to be powered by a smaller twin-turbo unit.
