First Ferrari electric car spotted testing in Maranello

Brand Ferrari is about to enter a new chapter. The Maranello-based supercar maker will reveal its first electric vehicle by the end of 2025.

It seems the development of the first Ferrari EV is on track, as an early prototype was recently spotted near the factory. The test mule was captured by @derek.photography.

Being an early development mule, it has a Maserati Levante top hat with bits borrowed from other Ferrari models, like the headlamps, that are from the Roma. The EV-specific wheels, of course, are not the ones that will be offered on the final product.

Ferrari CEO Benedetto Vigna recently stated that the brand’s first EV will be a “true Ferrari” in every aspect. He promised an exhilarating driving experience with an “authentic roar”.

According to a recent report, Ferrari’s first EV might cost over $500,000. It will compete with the Lamborghini Lanzador, an electric SUV due to arrive by 2028.
