First Bugatti Bolide in USA gets a shakedown at Circuit of the Americas

Last month, the world’s first Bugatti Bolide was delivered to the USA. The track hypercar arrived at Team CJ Works in Austin, TX, before being handed over to the customer. It recently received a shakedown at the Circuit of the Americas (COTA).

The Bolide is Bugatti’s ultimate track hypercar. Only 40 examples are being produced with a price tag of $4 million. It is based on a bespoke carbon fibre chassis that has been developed to comply with LMh and LMDh regulations and meets all safety norms laid down by the FIA.

The Bolide is powered by Bugatti’s legendary 8.0-liter W16 engine. This monster of an engine generates 1577 hp and 1180 lb-ft of torque. The car weighs just 1450 kg (dry), which gives it an insane power-to-weight ratio of more than 1100 hp per tonne!

These stunning images come courtesy of Wes Tindel (@lonestarexotic). We hope he was able to capture the Bolide on video as well. Can’t wait to see it roar down the back straight of COTA.
