Cardi B announces “Bongos” single with Megan Thee Stallion
On Sunday night, Cardi B revealed that she had a “big announcement” that would be made on Monday. After fans waited all day, Cardi finally made the announcement shortly after 8:40PM.
As a result, this announcement is a new single that Cardi is releasing on September 8. This is “Bongos,” and includes a huge feature from Megan Thee Stallion. She also went on to unveil the official cover art, as her and Megan are seen sporting matching colorful hair and similar outfits in difference color designs.
Therefore, this is the second collaboration between Cardi and Megan, since 2020. In August of that year, Meg appeared on Cardi’s “WAP” single. That record went on to see a number one debut in the US, on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Currently, it’s 7x platinum in the US.
Meanwhile, as a result of this announcement, fans also believe that Cardi’s sophomore album may also be arriving soon. It’s been a very long time since Cardi last released a project, as that was her Billboard 200 chart-topping debut studio album, “Invasion Of Privacy.” Cardi’s last single also came last July, which was “Hot S***” featuring Lil Durk and Kanye West.
