Austrian police have impounded a Bugatti Chiron for breaking the speed limit. According to reports, the hypercar was clocked at 123 km/h (76 mph approx) on the Vienna Ringstraße.
Austria is known for its strict traffic laws and heavy fines. The Chiron, which is registered in Germany, was promptly towed away by the cops for the speeding violation. @912fgt was at the scene when the hypercar was craned onto a flatbed before being taken to the impound lot.
The driver, a 38-year-old Austrian, said that the car belonged to his friend. His driving license has also been cancelled for the time being.
The Bugatti Chiron is powered by an 8.0-liter W16 engine that produces 1500 hp, and when your hypercar can accelerate from 0-62 mph in just 2.5 seconds, you hit the speed limit within a blink of an eye.
