BLACKPINK is making a splash on iTunes charts across the globe with their new song for the soundtrack of “BLACKPINK: THE GAME”!

Back on August 25, BLACKPINK officially released “THE GIRLS,” their brand-new single for the OST of their mobile game “BLACKPINK: THE GAME.” The song was first unveiled through the app two days earlier, on August 23.

On September 5, YG Entertainment officially announced that “The Girls” had reached No. 1 on iTunes Top Songs charts in at least 30 different regions since its release.

“It is unusual for a game OST song without official promotional activities or performances to achieve such results,” noted the agency. “BLACKPINK is displaying their strong foothold in the mainstream pop market.”

    Congratulations to BLACKPINK!
