Could Tyreek Hill be taking his talents to San Francisco? 49ers fans seem to think so.
On Monday morning, the former Kansas City Chiefs and Miami Dolphins superstar wide receiver posted on X, “It’s almost time to get off the couch and get to work 🥹”.
The post has gone viral, tallying over 1.2 million views in about six hours. And many of the comments are 49ers fans convinced that this message means Hill is signing with their team.
San Francisco’s wide receiver room has been decimated with injuries this season, especially after Mike Evans suffered a rib injury on Sunday. Signing Hill, who is a future Hall of Famer and five-time First-team All-Pro honoree, would be a massive boost for what’s already a star-studded roster.
Hill comes with his own injury concern. He’s coming off a gruesome knee injury last September that required surgery.
The 32-year-old is nearing a return, but nobody knows whether he’ll be the same explosive version of himself that dominated for the past decade.
49ers quarterback Brock Purdy would probably be happy to find out whether Hill can recreate his past success.
Hill is currently a free agent after the Dolphins cut him to clear cap space earlier this year. He’ll surely sign with a team at some point, and the 49ers’ wide receiver injuries would make it a solid potential fit.
