Mercedes-AMG is bringing just five examples of the G63 Two-Finish Edition to Australia, giving the iconic SUV an unusually exclusive treatment. Prices start at $425,327 before on-road costs and dealer delivery.
The biggest talking point is its hand-painted two-tone exterior. The greenhouse, bonnet and spare-wheel cover are finished in high-gloss non-metallic black, while MANUFAKTUR Night Black Magno covers the lower body and roof.

Creating the sharp dividing line between the gloss and matte finishes is a painstaking process. Mercedes says it takes several hours of masking, with only one Two-Finish Edition passing through the paint shop each day at the G-Class factory in Graz, Austria.
The dark theme continues with the AMG Night Package II, dark-chrome grille, black exhaust system, 22-inch forged wheels and black MANUFAKTUR running boards. The cabin combines titanium grey pearl and black upholstery with a two-tone Nappa leather dashboard, carbon-fibre trim and a carbon-fibre/MICROCUT steering wheel.

Each Australian example also gets a numbered passenger grab handle marked “1 of 5”.
The Mercedes-AMG G63 Two-Finish Edition retains the regular model’s 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8, producing 430 kW (576 hp) and 850 Nm (626 lb ft). It can reach 100 km/h (62 mph) in 4.4 seconds.
