Not one but two Jaguar Type 01 prototypes spotted testing together

The upcoming Jaguar Type 01 electric grand tourer has been spotted testing at the Nurburgring once again before its official debut, but this sighting is particularly interesting. Not one, but two heavily camouflaged prototypes were caught together near the famous German circuit.

The prototypes were filmed at the same location, with one approaching an intersection as the other headed away. It is not the first time the Type 01 has been seen testing, but seeing two cars together suggests things are heading towards the final stages at a quick pace.

While the exterior remains largely hidden beneath camouflage, Jaguar has already shown us the cabin. The interior takes a distinctly retro approach, with a 1980s-inspired design featuring “four individual spaces,” two-tone seats and a two-spoke steering wheel that reminds of the luxury sedans from the era.

Jaguar is expected to officially unveil the Type 01 in October. The EV is expected to use a tri-motor electric powertrain producing more than 1,000 hp and over 959 lb-ft of torque. It would extract a 400-mile range from its 120-kWh battery pack.
