Bugatti restores a Veyron with modern touches from Chiron & Tourbillon

Bugatti has given one of its iconic Veyron hypercars a modern makeover with design touches inspired by the newer Chiron and Tourbillon. The one-off creation was completed through Bugatti’s La Maison Pur Sang heritage and restoration program.

Based on one of just 450 Veyrons built during the model’s decade-long production run, the car was restored in collaboration with its owner. Rather than simply returning it to factory condition, Bugatti brought selected elements from its modern lineup into this old hypercar.

The exterior is finished in a combination of Rouge Rembrandt and Petrol Blue. Neither shade was available during the Veyron era, with Rouge Rembrandt developed for the Tourbillon and Petrol Blue closely associated with the Chiron.

Bugatti has also fitted larger versions of the Veyron’s Machiavelli wheels, allowing it to use newer-generation tyres. The air intakes gain new three-dimensional mesh elements, adding another subtle contemporary touch.

Inside, Magnolia leather seats are paired with Mocassin stitching on the steering wheel and gear selector. A special “20 Years of Veyron” emblem sits between the seats, marking the anniversary of the original hypercar.

The centre console receives a Côte de Genève finish inspired by traditional watchmaking. It also avoids the fingerprints associated with glossy surfaces.

Interestingly, Bugatti has left the Veyron’s dashboard free of a large modern screen!
