Byron Buxton, Mike Trout plan to use no-trade power at deadline

Teams looking for a center fielder will have to look beyond All-Stars Byron Buxton and Mike Trout. Both suggested they aren’t going anywhere.

“Nah,” Buxton said when asked whether he’d leave the Twins. “Which is why I got the no-trade.”

He wouldn’t even consider waiving it for his home-state Braves?

“At the end of the day, Atlanta ain’t home,” Buxton said. “I’m five hours from Atlanta. People don’t get that. I’m from the South. I’m closer to Savannah. I’m closer to Jacksonville than I am to Atlanta. That’s not home.
