President Trump called Wednesday for Iryna Zarutska’s alleged killer, Decarlos Brown Jr., to receive the death penalty for the barbaric stabbing of the Ukrainian refugee on a train in Charlotte, NC last month.
“The ANIMAL who so violently killed the beautiful young lady from Ukraine, who came to America searching for peace and safety, should be given a ‘Quick’ (there is no doubt!) Trial, and only awarded THE DEATH PENALTY,” the president declared on Truth Social. “There can be no other option!!!”
Chilling footage shows Zarutska, 23, being stabbed repeatedly with what appears to be a pocket knife while riding a Lynx Blue Line train on Aug. 22.
Brown, 34, was charged Tuesday with a federal count of committing an act causing death on a mass transportation system.
He also faces state charges of first-degree murder.
Attorney General Pam Bondi has vowed to “seek the maximum penalty for this unforgivable crime” and that the suspect “will never again see the light of day as a free man.”
