Manthey Racing is currently working on the Porsche 911 GT3 MR facelift. One of the first prototypes fitted with the updated Manthey kit was recently spotted at the Nurburgring.
Designed for the 992.2 generation of the 911 GT3, the Manthey Racing kit is expected to improve the overall handling. The test car appears to have a revised aero package, which includes a new front bumper with canards, a rear spoiler with end plates and aero discs for the rear wheels. It doesn’t look as extreme as the latest Porsche 911 GT3 RS MR, though.
The Manthey upgrades are also expected to include a tweaked suspension setup designed for the racetrack and better brakes. It will also come with a roll cage.
The 911 GT3 is powered by a 4.0-liter flat-6 engine that revs to 9000 rpm and delivers 502 hp to the rear wheels. The engine is paired with a 6-speed manual as standard, but you also get an optional 7-speed PDK.
