Hennessey Performance has revealed the next-generation Venom F5. Dubbed the Venom F5 Evolution, the hypercar features extensive updates designed to improve its overall performance, handling and comfort.
The Venom F5 Evolution recently completed the testing phase, which was conducted in partnership with world-renowned performance and aerodynamic specialists, along with a team of engineers from Hennessey. The result is a more powerful machine with improved downforce.
The Venom F5 Evolution claims to be the most powerful internal combustion engine-powered hypercar in the world. It uses a 6.6-liter twin-turbo V8, which now uses Precision 76/80 Next Gen turbochargers, Ilmor-designed oval-shaped billet aluminum pistons with optimized profile geometry, Extreme-duty billet aluminum connecting rods, Lightweight titanium exhaust valves, valve covers and high-flow fuel injectors.
As a result, the engine now delivers 2031 hp @ 8,000 rpm and 1445 lb-ft of torque @ 5200 rpm when running on E85. Hennessey claims the new Venom F5 Evo will sprint from 0-200 mph in just 10.3 seconds.
The F5 Evolution features a new adaptive suspension setup with five settings: Sport, Road Race, Drag, Wet, and the full-power F5 Mode.
The redesigned aero package includes a new front splitter, dive planes, tire wake deflectors and louvres on the front wheel arches. A new Gurney lip at the trailing edge of the rear spoiler has been added for high-speed stability.
The company has also introduced new ‘Touring’ options. Customers can spec their cars with lightweight carbon bucket seats or the ‘Touring Carbon Seats’ designed for long-distance driving. These have an exposed carbon back and are wrapped in leather upholstery.
The Evolution package costs $285,000. It will be available for both newly ordered F5s as well as existing F5 owners. That includes the Coupe, Roadster and Revolution models.
